I have been conducting, planning, structuring, and helping fellow WAHMS
have online parties for over a year now. I enjoy Eparties and love helping
others. Over the course of this time, I have been asked and told several times
"How do I do this" "I've never done this before" "What
exactly is an Eparty" and so on. I have taken the time to compile some FREE
information and simple guidelines for you to follow. Of course when you become
more familiar with Eparties you will gather your own styles and techniques. This
page is only intended for some helpful information and should not be copied or
reproduced in any way. Any documentation that is circulating on the web or in
ebooks that may look or sound like my information is purely coincidence; as I am
only speaking of my experience and knowledge. Please enjoy the information I

Eparties: Start To Finish

Eparties slightly differ from your Traditional Home Parties. Eparties
are conducted via an online chat room. Your invitations are sent through Emails
or group message boards. You showcase your products via a web site and of course
play some traditional fun games! Eparties can be conducted in the comfort of
your PJ's with your children climbing all over you or even screaming in the
background. They can be conducted with toys all over the front room/family room
or a messy kitchen and bathroom. There is no need to buy pricy cold cuts, snacks
and extra soda pop. Why, because your guest cannot see and will not see any of
these distractions making Eparties convenient for the average WAHM/SAHM! Why
spend hours or a week preparing your home, spending extra money on a sitter for
the kids or convincing your ever so loving spouse to take the kids for a small 3
hour getaway, to only be disappointed by a poor turnout or not enough orders to
cover your cost. As you can see and imagine, Eparties are very convenient and
with the internet boom they are becoming all the craze! In most situations
Eparties are over ruling the Traditional Home Parties. Many of us don't have a
lot of family or friends; what we do have is
Online Relationships, thus
making Eparties even more convenient!
Just like your Traditional Home Parties you want to pick a DATE &
TIME for your event, make your GUEST LIST, and PLAN & STUCTURE your event.
If you have a hostess for your Eparty you will want to begin to work closely
with her picking a DATE & TIME that are convenient for the both of you and
allowing you adequate planning. You will both want to work on a GUEST LIST as we
all have many different communication circles. Once these steps have been
completed you will want to PLAN & STRUCTURE the event.
Again just as those Traditional Home Parties, you want to have a well
PLANNED & STRUCTURED party. While planning your event you want to think
about what products are most likely to sell. You may want to show case or focus
on your company's Top 5 Best Sellers, your favorite 5 products, or even the most
eye-catching. You also want to familiarize yourself with your company products,
shipping rates, policies and so forth; be prepared for guest questions. You want
to have a special or specials. These may be your current company specials, free
shipping, a discount on purchases over a certain amount, discount on all orders
regardless of purchase amount, free gift with all orders; specials are almost
endless. You want your special to be unique and eye-catching. Your next planning
step should be what game and prize you are going to have for your guest. Games
allow for more interaction with your guest; and have many more advantages that
are discussed in the
games
section of this article. You want to pick a prize that is as costly as
possible for you. Keep in mind this doesn't have to be a company product. This
can be a cute, useful, inexpensive item from your local Dollar Store. It's not a
good idea for your winning guest to have to purchase an item from you to redeem
their prize, but can be done. Try to keep the prize as a no obligation gift. Now
lets structure your event.
A typical party can be conducted in the example below. You are free to structure
your events to your liking/comfort; this is just an example.
- Introduction of yourself and or hostess. You want to make this brief.
A simple my name or I am and this is my hostess... I'm married have this many
kids... Keep it short and sweet.
- Introduction of your company. You may want to give a brief history behind
the company. Tell why you like the company or anything you feel your guest
should or want to know. You want to keep your introduction brief as not to bore
or lose your guest interest.
- Now lets showcase your products. This is where you will talk about the
products you've chosen in your planning stage. You may also want to allow your
guest some time to view your website. By allowing them some viewing time this
also gives you a small break and a breather.
- Does anyone have any questions? Open up the floor for your guest to have a
discussion with you and time for you to answer any questions they may have. You never
want to lose control of your party. Answer a guest's question to the best of
your ability. Without being short, keep the answers as quick and tidy as
possible. You don't want your guest to take control of your party.
- Now is a GREAT time to play your game! Again games allow GREAT interaction
with you and your guest as well as your guest as a hole.
- Closing/Party conclusions. Re cap some of what you've said; re point out
some highlights of the party. Thank your guest for attending, give contact
information to those interested in contacting you. You will want to "hang
around" till all of your guest leave as to if they have any questions.
Scavenger Hunt: Depending on your time frame you want to
have at least 5-10 questions prepared with 1-2 questions for tie breakers. This
game is nice as it entices the guest to view the site in order to play the game!
You will pick sentences, phrases, or ask a question from your site. A typical
"scavenger hunt" question may look like this:
What product helps
with dry skin? The first guest to answer your question correctly will gain
a point. You can add a twist to the game giving a point to the 2nd correct
answer. Use your imagination! The guest that has the most points at the end will
win your prize!
Word Scrambles: You want to have at least 5-10 words with 1-2 tie
breaker words. This type of game, again, will help get the guest to your site.
You can use your imagination with this game too by using titles from popular TV
Sitcoms, current events, your word list pool is almost endless. Keep in mind
when getting away from your site with this game that you want the words to be
easy enough for the average person to guess. The guest to answer with the
correct word 1st will gain the point. Guest with the most points at the end is
the winner!
Bingo: Here you would make a list of at least 30 words. Have your
guest Email you 5-10 words from the list. (You will want to let Mommies Link
Exchange Depot know no later then 5 days before your event that you plan to play
this game, as it needs to be set up on the site.) You will call out your words
just as in a bingo game. First guest to get all 5-10 words will win the game!
ABC Game: This game involves giving your guest a letter of the
alphabet and having them give you a word that starts with the letter you gave.
This game is ideal for scents or coffee flavors. You may even use song titles.
Example: Question: "A" Answer: amber romanceYou
will want to tell your guest that these answers will come from your site or
wherever you've chosen. The guest with the most points at the end wins the game!
These are just a few of my favorite games. You are free to use your own
imagination adding twist and more fun to these games or even create your own
games.

Of course you can always use an Email stationary and Email your guest in that
manner. Just as traditional invitations you want to include all your

invitation eye-catching and enticing to get your guest to attend.
